Warrants for murder are still outstanding for one Warren County man involved in a fatal shooting during the early morning hours on Sunday, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation reports.

Four men were charged with shooting into two vehicles, just south of Connect 25 on Highway 1 South. One victim, Michael Pressley, 28, of Oxford, was shot and later died. A second victim, Jerry Henderson, 25, of Oxford, was also shot.

Early this morning, Marquis Montelle Davis, 24, of Warrenton, turned himself into the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Davis was charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of assault with a deadly weapon, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.

Davis, who was denied bond, is currently in custody at the Warren County jail.

Kadeem Jaleel Grooms, 23, of Manson, was arrested Thursday, in South Hill, Virginia, without trouble.

Grooms was also charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of assault with a deadly weapon, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.

During the arrest of Grooms, his associate, Keshan Jamal Goode, 24, of Manson, was arrested without trouble and charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Both Grooms and Goode are currently in custody at the Meherrin River Regional Jail, in Boydton, Virginia. Efforts are being made to bring them back to North Carolina.

There are still outstanding warrants for the arrest of Darren “Sam” Alston. Alston is charged with crimes identical to those of Davis and Grooms.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Alston is encouraged to call the Warren County confidential crimes reporting line at 252-257-1356.
