Pair wanted in March murder surrender

Two men wanted in a March drive-by shooting in which one man died surrendered Monday.

The Enfield Police Department and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation have developed suspects in a March 27 murder and linked it to gang activity.

An Enfield man who skipped bond on a 2015 murder charge and was wanted in an attempted murder last month was apprehended today.

Besides the event at The Centre, National Night Out celebrations are also planned in Enfield, Garysburg and Littleton Tuesday night.

Reputed gang activity is at the root of a shooting in Enfield Monday night in which no one was injured.

Law enforcement across Halifax County made the following reports:

An Enfield man was arrested today for allegedly soliciting and assaulting a reputed Durham prostitute.

Enfield police Chief Tyree Davis said a stabbing last week was fueled by alcohol use and an argument between two women over a male friend.

Enfield police continue a drug probe of a South McDaniel Street house its detective called a “one-stop shop for everything.”

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office and the Enfield Police Department each filed charges in a shooting which occurred Monday outside Scotland Neck.
