The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a person involved in a breaking and entering of a business in the 1300 block of Roanoke Avenue.

Exactly two weeks ago, City County Drug Task Force agents went to East End Avenue in the Littleton area and arrested Michael Stansbury and his girlfriend, Christine Gilchrist, on cocaine trafficking charges.

A chase in Scotland Neck Thursday ended with the seizure of 28 crack rocks and 1.8 ounces of marijuana, the town’s police department reports.

Undercover buy leads to marijuana counts

The head of the City County Drug Task Force said the organization will continue monitoring a business where an employee was charged with selling marijuana to an undercover agent Thursday.

While there will be no public taste tests, visitors to Historic Halifax will be able to see and smell 18th Century cooking creations and techniques throughout this month.

Halifax County Sheriff’s Office detectives have sought a juvenile petition of second-degree murder in the case of a boy charged with allegedly killing his father in the Darlington community last week.
