Belfield remanded to U.S. Marshal custody

Michael Rakim Belfield was remanded to the custody of United States Marshals following his detention hearing in Raleigh today.

School employee charged with indecent liberties

A county school employee surrendered to law enforcement today to face a charge of indecent liberties between a school employee and student stemming from what is commonly called sexting.

The State Board of Community Colleges approved the selection of Michael Elam as the fifth president of Halifax Community College.
