On Friday at approximately 11:15 a.m., Officer N. Velazquez responded to Lowe’s Home Improvement about a larceny.
Loss prevention reported Lionel Nail Davis, 57, of Roanoke Rapids, took items.
Davis was arrested and charged with habitual larceny and received a $2,000 bond and August 10 court date.
On Monday at approximately 5:15 p.m., investigators J. Hardy and C. Babb were in the area of Highway 158 and Church Street following up on narcotics complaints when they spotted Audwin Lamont Parker, 28, of Roanoke Rapids. Parker had outstanding orders for arrest.
When the investigators encountered Parker on Rebecca Street he was found in possession of narcotics and an open container.
Parker was arrested on the outstanding orders for arrest and also charged with trafficking heroin, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule I and possession of open container.
Parker received a $156,900 bond and has a September 5 court date.
He has multiple court dates through September in both district and superior court for a multitude of charges, according to the state court calendar.

On Tuesday at approximately 4:45 p.m., Green conducted a traffic stop for a violation at highways 48 and 158.
The driver was found in possession of narcotics, paraphernalia and was driving on a revoked license.
Justin Maurice Johnson, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He received a $1,500 bond and August 31 court date.

On Tuesday at approximately 6:30 p.m., Master Officer R. Cross responded to the 900 block of Henry Street about an assault on a child.
Cross discovered Anthony Emery Wooten, 67, of Roanoke Rapids, had allegedly slapped a child and had been walking around with a gun.
The gun was located in the backyard where Wooten hid it.
Wooten was arrested and charged with assault on a child under 12-years-old and possession of a firearm by a felon.
He received a $7,500 bond and September 5 court date.
The child was not seriously injured, Hasty said.
