rrspin.com observed two handguns taken from a vehicle parked at the residence. Three clips were also seized from the vehicle along with a small bag containing marijuana.
Cocaine, an undisclosed amount of money and ammo was taken from inside the residence, Agent Jamie Hardy said.
Captain Bobby Martin confirmed a warrant for a search of the residence was taking place there.
Asked whether she had ever observed suspicious activity in the area, one woman watching the activity from a neighboring house, said, “I just go look after my mom and go.”
Another man watching the activity said, “I haven’t been here in a couple of days.”
Three people sitting on the porch of the residence being searched were detained by police until the completion of the investigation. They said they didn’t know why they were being detained.
Hardy said he had been investigating the residence for the past two months. Members of a church across the street had complained of hearing shots fired and observed what they believed to be drug transactions taking place in their parking lot.
Hardy said during investigations on Church Street agents “have found over $1,000 worth of drugs on the ground.”
One person is expected to be arrested.
Chief Chuck Hasty said further details would be forthcoming.
