On Saturday at approximately noon, Officer C. Batchelor conducted a traffic stop for a violation on East Tenth near Washington streets.
Batchelor learned the driver, Destiny Dawn Moore, 22, of Gaston, had two outstanding orders for arrest.
Moore was taken into custody for the orders for arrest and was reportedly found in possession of narcotics.
Batchelor cited Moore for possession of marijuana and littering.
She received a $1,000 bond and June 13 court date for the order for arrest.
Officer D. Bybee assisted.
On Saturday at approximately 1:30 p.m., police received a call about a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of Pine Street.
The alleged suspect left the residence as officers responded.
Bybee spotted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Julian R. Allsbrook Highway.
Brian Lee Dunlow, 44, of Roanoke Rapids, was detained pending investigation into the dispute.
Sergeant M. Peck went to the residence on Pine Drive to follow up on the report of the disturbance.
The victims told Peck Dunlow would not let them leave the residence and assaulted and pointed a gun at them.
Investigator O. Wiltise arrested and charged Dunlow with two counts of kidnapping, two counts assault on a female, possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Dunlow was held without opportunity for bond due to the domestic charges. He has a June 6 court date.

On Sunday at approximately 1:30 p.m, Officer M. Hunsucker responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1900 block of Julian R. Allsbrook Highway.
The victim told Hunsucker Janet Latoya Daniels, 31, of Jackson, assaulted them by pouring gas on them and attempting to get a light to light the gas.
Daniels was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
She received a $5,000 bond and May 25 court date.
