PD sets claim deadline for abandoned bikes, ATV

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department has set a June 10 claim deadline for several bikes and an ATV currently designated as lost and found.

The bikes are in good condition, Deputy Chief Andy Jackson said, and have been reported abandoned by people who call to report seeing them.
Thus far none have been matched in records the police department keeps on bikes reported stolen, he said.
If the bikes are not claimed they will be donated to local charities.
Persons who can prove ownership must contact the police department at 252-533-2810/ 2811 to submit a claim.

A 24-inch Nightmare multi-colored bike
A blue generic ATV found at Fifth and Franklin streets
A neon green Chaos freestyle bike with JOJO written on bottom
A black X Games 18 bike with red tires
A 26-inch red and white Next bike
A green Diamondback bike
A pink Next bike
A girls white Kent Taboo bike
A multi-colored Kent Fantasy Pro Series bike
A black 26-inch Hyper Havoc F5 bike
A blue 20-inch Giant CFR bike
A 20-inch neon yellow Kent Chaos bike
A 20-inch black Hyper Spinner
A white Next Ascent mountain bike
