Mr. Nathaniel Ausby, Jr., age 73 of Garysburg, North Carolina, departed this earthly tabernacle on Monday, November 9, 2020 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Nathaniel, son of the late Nathaniel Ausby, Sr. and Mary Ridley Ausby, was born August 9, 1947 in Halifax County, North Carolina.

A public walk-through viewing will be Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Cofield Mortuary at 501 West Third Street in Weldon.

A graveside celebration of life and service will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Garysburg, North Carolina with Pastor Edwin Horsley giving words of comfort.

The Cofield Family and Staff of Cofield Mortuary are honored to provide comfort, assistance and service to Mrs. Lola S. Ausby and the Ausby-Sykes Family.

Because of COVID-19, we will follow CDC Guidelines by limiting the number of attendees for all services. 

For Viewings, only 5 persons will be allowed in the funeral home at one time. We are enforcing social distancing and are also requesting and encouraging that masks and/or facial coverings be worn at all times for the safety and protection of everyone in attendance. Thank you.
