As part of the Halifax County Library’s Patron Appreciation Program, the Friends of Historic Halifax is sponsoring a Bites of History program on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the library located at 33 South Granville Street in Halifax, NC 27839. 

The topic of the evening is Historic Architecture of Halifax County and the presenter will be Karen Dunlap Vaughan, Friends of Historic Halifax board chair.

She will discuss the book The Historical Architecture of Halifax County, North Carolina and the ongoing efforts to preserve and restore many of the featured buildings. 

Copies of the book will be available for purchase during the program for $60, cash or check. This special Bites of History program is free to attend and open to the public. 

The entire Patron Appreciation Program held by the Halifax County Library is scheduled to run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and includes door prizes, refreshments, and party favors.
