A commemoration of the 9-11 terrorist attacks will be held September 11 at 8:45 a.m.
There will be a posting of colors, a timeline of the events and a keynote speaker.
The Roanoke Rapids Fire Department will close the ceremony at Centennial Park with the traditional bell-ringing.
The public is encouraged to attend.
