Roanoke Valley law enforcement reported the following:

Halifax County Sheriff’s Office

This morning around 2 Deputy D. Williams and Corporal D. Rackley responded to the area of Robinson Drive just outside of Roanoke Rapids to the report of vehicle break-ins.

Captain Scott Hall said Lieutenant D. Jenkins with the Roanoke Rapids Police Department was in the vicinity and saw a vehicle driven by a person later identified as 27-year-old Drew Ann Barlowe leaving the area.

A vehicle stop was initiated at the intersection of Bolling Road and Robinson Drive.

Investigation led to the discovery of items in Barlowe’s possession that belonged to the victim.

While continuing to investigate, images of Barlowe walking through yards near the victim’s home were obtained.

Williams arrested and charged the Roanoke Rapids woman for breaking and entering a motor vehicle to commit theft. She was placed in the Halifax County Detention Center without the opportunity for bond until her district court appearance Friday.

Roanoke Rapids Police Department
