An Enfield man faces drug charges following a stop for a window tint violation Tuesday afternoon.

Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Captain Scott Hall said that around 2:45 p.m. Detective A. Holland and Deputy J. Horne were in the Medoc area when they stopped a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Naquavun Richardson for the violation.

The smell of marijuana led to the search of the vehicle where marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and  firearms were located.

Holland arrested and charged Richardson for possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and a window tint violation.

Hall said the weapons were seized because of safety concerns and the felony charge that Richardson faces.

He received a $2,500 secured bond and June 27 district court date.
