Weldon Events will hold a children’s Parade of Reg Wagons on April 20 at noon.

The parade is open to bikes, trikes, strollers, classic cars, and more.

Cheerleaders, dance and cheer groups are also invited to participate and participants are encouraged to decorate their wagons, bikes, tricycles, floats, trucks or classic cars in red, white, and blue. There will be prizes for the best decorated red wagons in the parade.

The event coincides with Weldon In Action hosting Saturdays in the Park in Central Park in downtown Weldon. 

There will be live music and a pop-up market. 

These events are Sponsored by the Halifax County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Red Wagon.

The parade route goes down Washington Avenue from the post office to Central Park beside Sunshine Grill where the live music, market and other activities will be held.

“The true focus of the Red Wagon Parade will be like a children's parade with families and groups walking the parade route and having fun with wagons, bicycles, tricycles, strollers, and such,” event organizers said.
