Roanoke Rapids police Chief Shane Guyant reported that on February 7 around noon a woman entered a bank on East Tenth Street and attempted to withdraw $4,000 from an account.

The bank teller became suspicious and had another teller call the account owner.

The account owner was called and confirmed that no one should be removing funds from their account.

During this call process, the woman left the branch on foot, leaving a fictitious identification behind.

Although the name was determined to not be correct, the bank employees confirmed that the photograph was the female suspect.
