Early or one-stop voting for the 2023 municipal elections begins October 19 and will continue through November 4 in Halifax County.

The only one-stop site for the municipal elections will be the Halifax County Agriculture Building located at 359 Ferrell Lane in Halifax.

The municipal election will be held on November 7.

The municipal election will require voters to present an ID. Guidelines are contained in a PDF at this link and more information can be obtained via the North Carolina State Board of Elections website at this link

One-stop hours in Halifax County are as follows:

Thursday, October 19 through Friday, October 20 - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Monday, October 23 through Friday, October 27 - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Monday, October 30 through Friday, November 3 - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Saturday, November 4 - 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Halifax County residents who are not registered to vote may register and vote during the early voting period.
