The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Weldon man who stole a handgun from his former girlfriend’s vehicle following a domestic dispute last week.

Lieutenant Shane Guyant said the dispute and theft of the weapon occurred last Monday in the parking lot of the Oasis Travel Center on Highway 903.

During the argument Anthony Deshun Johnson, 36, took the weapon and left in another vehicle. There was no description given of the vehicle he used to drive away.
