One person has been charged and the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two more in a breaking and entering case which occurred on Brigman Street in June.

Chief Deputy Scott Hall said the victim reported tools and automobile parts were stolen from the property. The sheriff’s office received the report on June 21.

Investigation by Detective R.B. Biggerstaff led to warrants drawn on Shadeed Mustafa Hyman, 36, of Roanoke Rapids.

In the gallery, from left, Everett-Hyman, Everett, and Hyman:

Hyman was arrested without trouble Monday and faces charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, and three counts of obtaining property by false pretense.

The false pretense counts stem from Hyman selling stolen property at recycling centers, Hall said.

Hyman received a $15,000 bond and August 18 court date.

Meanwhile, the sheriff’s office has obtained warrants for the arrest of Devon Michael Everett, of Seaboard. He faces the same counts as Mr. Hyman but with only one obtaining property count. Also facing a charge of obtaining property by false pretense is Christine Everett-Hyman of Roanoke Rapids. She is Mr. Hyman's wife and is Everett's sister. They are known to frequent the Roanoke Rapids and Seaboard areas.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is encouraged to call Biggerstaff at 252-583-8201, Halifax County Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444 or by using the P3 Tips app.
