Nine new positive cases of COVID-19 were added to the Halifax County Health Department’s data on the virus today.

The total cumulative number of positive cases since March of last year now stands at 5,277 with 105 related deaths.

Beginning Wednesday, all adults are eligible for vaccination, the health department reported.

Rural Health Group at Halifax Medical Specialists located at 270 Smith Church Road will offer Moderna first dose vaccines to all groups every Monday and Tuesday during this month.

DrugCo will offer first and second dose appointments by online registration only for all groups.

All vaccine clinics will be held at Kirkwood Adams Community Center, 1100 Hamilton Street in Roanoke Rapids.
