The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office this morning arrested a Roanoke Rapids man and charged him on cocaine counts.
Captain A.M. Harris said in a statement Agent R.E. Ball received a complaint Jaquan Tereke Harris, 23, was selling cocaine.
This morning around 11:30, narcotics agents went to the area of Tenth Street near Park Avenue to locate Mr. Harris, who had outstanding warrants.
During an investigation in May, with assistance from a cooperating source, a controlled purchase of cocaine was made from Mr. Harris at a convenience store in the 100 block of Roanoke Avenue.
Ball charged Mr. Harris with sell cocaine, deliver cocaine and possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine.
He received a $3,000 bond and September 18 court date.
