Two men have been charged in a January 7 property theft on Carolina Rest Home Road, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

Detective James Matthews said property was taken from the victim’s yard. After further investigation Matthews charged James Sesson, 18, and Patrick Tabron, 18, both of Roanoke Rapids.

Both men were charged with felony larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny and obtaining property by false pretense.

Sesson was also charged by Deputy Joe Puhak with resisting a public officer, in which he was given a $1,000 bond, plus the $5,000 bond both men received.

They have March 2 court dates.
