Law enforcement hopes Elaine Bellamy will contact them to let them know she is OK.

Bellamy was last seen in the Bragg Street area of Raleigh and talked with a person who told her she was reported missing, according to Lieutenant Bobby Martin of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

Martin said authorities just want her to talk with law enforcement to verify she is OK.

In Halifax County, Bellamy was last seen in the Colonial Drive area of Roanoke Rapids on September 22, wearing brown pants and a cream shirt.

The sheriff’s office has put out be on the lookout notices, entered her into national databases and alerted media, Martin said.

Her minister became concerned when he had not seen her since September 22. She is known to frequent the Weldon area and areas around Colonial Drive.

Martin said she was supposed to go Raleigh to meet a friend but she took no extra clothes.

Bellamy is 6 feet tall and weighs 300 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
