Chaloner Middle School (CMS) baseball team finished up their 2016 season back on April 21st beating Cornerstone Christian school 9-5 in a hard fought game.

Cornerstone scored its five runs in the third inning to take a 5-3 lead. AJ Strickland for Chaloner hit a two run homer in the bottom of the inning to tie the game.

CMS increased the lead to 7-5 with two more runs following Strickland's homer. Grayson Hargrave hit a homer in the sixth inning to add insurance runs.

Hargrave Strickland had two hits to lead Chaloner offense.

Hunt Van Dam had two hits including a big two run single in the second inning.

Cody Beale had two singles.

Colin Long had one single.

Colin Long was the winning pitcher and only gave up two hits in five innings.

Chaloner completed the season with 12 wins out of the last 13 games by working hard in all areas of the game. This improvement allowed them to complete the season with a 12-4 overall record.
