The Roanoke Rapids Lady Yellow Jackets Varsity Softball team played their last 2016 regular season game at home Wednesday night and these seniors were honored.
Hunter Nikole Martin - Parents Leslie and Bobby Martin, participated four years on the varsity team, broke school record for the most homeruns hit by a freshman with 6 total, 2 time All Conference, an honorable mention, most Valuable defensive player. Plans to attend UNC Pembroke and double major in Law and Psychology.
Sierra Nichole Hearp - Parents Marsha and Mike Hearp, participated four years on the varsity team, three time All Conference and MVP. Plans to attend Barton college to major in Sports Medicine Physical Therapy and has received a Scholarship to play softball for Barton.
Jordan Leigh Carpenter - Parents Jerri Morgan and Paul Carpenter, participated four years on the varsity team, All Conference Sophomore year, Honorable Mention Junior year, Most Valuable Offensive Player Sophomore and Junior year. Plans to attend East Carolina University.
Dallas Brooke McClenny - Parents Elzabeth and Jr. Ballero, Grandmother Jean Dickens, participated four years on the varsity team, All Conference, Most Valuable Defensive Player, MVP. Plans to attend Belmont Abbey College to continue to play softball and undecided in field of study.
