Halifax Academy JV baseball traveled to Chaloner Middle School Wednesday afternoon.
Chaloner beat Halifax 10-0 in 4 1/2 innings.
Halifax had Bryce Cooke on the mound for 3 and 1/3 innings with 1 strike-out and 5 walks 7 runs while Jesse Rose pitched 1 and 1/3 innings With 0 strikeouts and 4 walks 3 runs.
Hits for Halifax were Hardee with 1 single and Rose with 1 single.
The bats finally came alive for the CMS Jackets as they won their first games of the year over Halifax Academy.
The leading hitters for CMS was Trevor Harrison and Ethan Vincent with two hits and 2 RBI’s a piece. Bennett Liverman also had a big two run single in the first inning. A.J. Strickland and Jacob Deberry also added hits for the Jackets.
Colin Long and Ethan Vincent did a great job pitching for CMS. They combined for a one hit shutout and striking out six, while walking 2 batters.
