The #6 Northampton County Jaguars (16-3) hosted the #27 Whiteville Wolfpack (9-9) in Gaston in the 1st round of the 1A NCHSAA State Basketball Championship play-offs.

The Lady Jags beat the Lady Wolfpack 55-44 and will now host #11 Riverside Knights Thursday night February 25th.

Northampton County leading scorers were: Milequa Eason with 22 points,  Bryonna Woofter with 19 points, Rashauna Grant with 12 points, B. Deloatch with 2 points.

Northampton County has beaten conference rival Riverside twice this season.
