Are you wanting to be a referee?

Roanoke Valley Referee & Umpire Jodie Andrews is looking for any interested High school or Middle school referee's for the upcoming football & Volleyball season.

He has begun his weekly football officiating clinics on Monday nights, 7pm, at the Roanoke Rapids High School PE classroom.  If anyone wants additional information, please contact Carleton Knight at 678-2198; or Jodie Andrews, at 203-1879. 

His Volleyball clinics will begin Wednesday, June 24, 7pm, again at the Roanoke Rapids High School PE classroom.

It is getting much more difficult to get individuals to make the decision to officiate. Our youth officials are not professional officials, but are just as the players and coaches, learning a craft and trying to help the children learn the game.  Most fans have no idea the time and effort our officials spend training.
