There will be a pork chop plate fundraiser sale Thursday July 9th at the Pro-build parking lot on 10th street in Roanoke Rapids starting at 11 AM until 1 PM. They will deliver for 10 orders or more in the City limits.

This fundraiser is to help support two upcoming senior Roanoke Rapids High School softball teammates Brooke McClenny and Hunter Martin  pursue their dream of playing softball at the College level by attending College Prospect camps this summer.

Scott Hall & Sheriff Wes Tripp will be cooking for this event. the plate consist of the two boneless pork chops along with potatoes and green beans also a roll will be provided for the $8 donation.

These two ladies have played softball for 9 years through the ranks of Babe Ruth league, Travel softball, Middle School, High School and now also are members of the Triangle Lightning traveling showcase team based out of Raleigh N.C.

They are not only exceptional athletes they are great students as well. They were inducted into the National Honors Society and work very hard in school
