The Durham Bulls (Big Time Pawn) remained undefeated Friday night by beating the Charlotte Knights 15 to 9 at Doyle Field.
It was a hard fought game by both teams, and the Bulls had to overcome a 9 to 3 deficit at the top of the third inning to remain unbeaten.
With some heavy hitting and some walks, the Bulls made 10 runs in the third inning to regain the lead. Korey Hunt got the big hit of the day with a bases loaded grand slam inside the park homerun. Colby Warren and Spencer Simonowich helped the Bulls offense with both having 2 hits (including a triple and 2 RBI’s a piece.) Noah Lassiter added a double and a RBI. Dillon Jenkins added a 2 run single, and Peyton Jackson also added a single.
Carson Neal came in the game in the 3rd inning to pitch 3 scoreless innings to seal the deal.
