RRHS lost to South Granville in Varsity Baseball by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday night.
Josh Elias took the loss on the mound by pitching 4 strong innings. Chase Mountford had a good performance with 3 relief innings.
Leading hitters for the Yellow Jackets were: Josh Elias (1 RBI), Colby Warren (1 RBI), Marcus Allen, Chase Mountford (double), and Cameron Rogerson all with one hit each.
Head Coach Mark Snead stated, "Overall this was not how we wanted to play. I am proud of Josh and Chase and how they pitched. They gave us a chance in this game. After a slow start at the plate, we finally made some adjustments and were able to put two runs across. We just need to hit for all seven innings. We will learn from this and get better."
RRHS is now 7-7 overall and 6-4 in the conference.
The Yellow Jackets hit the road on Wednesday for a game at NCSSM. Game time is 4:30
