Valley Cheer All Stars recently competed at Cheer Ltd Nationals in Myrtle Beach SC.
The weekend was a huge success for this all star program which is finishing up its 9th season.
This was one of the bigger competitions of the year for Valley Cheer and the divisions were very tough. Valley Cheer mini's sparkles who have had great success all season long finished as 2nd runner up. This team started out young with many new athletes but showed each competitor how hard work and creative choreography prevails. The judges commented on their stunt creativity which helped place them in the top three for the weekend.
The youth glitter had the best performance of their season on Sunday which placed them 4th runner up. This teams tumbling is what set them apart from other youth teams.
Senior glam finished the weekend as 2nd runner up. This team has won two competitions just this season. Day two was their more successful day this weekend.
Sr 4 finished the weekend up as 4th runner up. "The hard work and determination this team showed this weekend is all we can ask for," stated Meggan Coggins. "We are proud of this team for pulling together to make this routine work," she added.
Valley Cheer's junior 3 dazzle team stole the competition this weekend. They finished as 1st runner up in their competitive division. This team performed like they owned the competition. Judges complimented them and said they were a GREAT team, they loved their dance and could feel their energy.
"Our girls came out this weekend and put their hearts on the floor. That is all we ask for as coaches," states Heather Merritt.
The biggest accomplishment of the weekend is Valley had 4 performances with zero deductions. That was coach Jennifer Fowler's goal for her teams. She states, "She could not be more proud of the progress and talent each Valley girl has shown her this year." "It was a great end to a successful season," stated Jessica White. "We have a theme at Valley Cheer that's "one heart". To us it means we are family, our hearts beat as one."
This weekend showed everyone even more our "one heart". All the staff would like to congratulate Valley Cheer on a successful season and thank our parents for their dedication and support.
