The Roanoke Rapids Swim Team capped off an amazing season with stellar swimming at the state swim meet.

The Lady Jackets 200 Medley Relay of Katherine King, Addie Nixon, Kristy Price and Rachel Price took 17th place and set a new school record with a 2:06.38.

The boys Medley Relay of Doug Glasgow, Shaun Fromal, James Evans, and Nick Denny also took 17th, while just missing breaking their own school record with a 1:52.34.

Rachel Price went a fast 27.79 in the 50 free.

Kristy Price broke her own school record again in the 100 fly, swimming a 1:08:85.

Addie Nixon swam well to earn a 1:16.99 in the 100  women's breakstroke.

Shaun Fromal moved up several spots en route a 14th place finish in the men's 100 breaststroke.

The girls 200 Free Relay of King, Amy Fromal, Price and Price placed 20th, while the boys group of Austin Taylor, Nick Denny, James Evans, and Shaun Fromal placed 22nd.

The women's  400 Relay Quartets of Chelsea Brown (narrowly missing the 100 free record off the front of the relay), Price, Price, and King swam a hard and gutsy race, while the boys group of Taylor (personal best in the 100 free), Evans, Denny, and Fromal showed a lot of heart during their race.

The Jackets had an amazing season, and while the future looks bright for years to come, they will certainly miss their family members that are graduating this year: Chelsea Brown, Rachel Price, Austin Taylor, Nick Denny, and James Evans. Coach Quast and the rest of the Jackets family wishes them well in the future!!
