KIPP hosted Granville Central Tuesday night in Gaston

KIPP JV boys added 7 to their winning streak by beating Granville Central 71-53.

Leading scorers for KIPP were: Jarvis Adams with 20 points, Monte Plum with 15 points.

KIPP varsity girls beat Granville Central 38-24.

KIPP varsity boys fell to Granville Central 65-76.  KIPP fell behind 21-43 at the halftime. A 26-9 run in the 3rd period pulls the Pride within 7 points, only to let it slip away in the 4th period. Chris Newell put KIPP Pride on his back as he tried desperately to lead the Pride to victory.

Newell finished with 24 points to lead Pride. Josh George chipped in 12 points, Jerry Williams led all scorers with 36 points while Chris Royster added 19 points.
