A Murfreesboro man wanted in a shooting outside a Weldon multi-purpose venue surrendered to the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office Monday.
Weldon police have filed warrants and are looking for a Murfreesboro man wanted in a Sunday morning shooting.
A shooting victim was undergoing surgery as of this report and Weldon police continue their investigation, Deputy Chief James Avens said this morning.
A rubber fire from Tuesday night continues to smolder and plans are in place today to bring it completely under control.
The Weldon Police Department reported the following, according to Lieutenant Chris Davis:
Investigation of complaints about drug activity of an area just outside Weldon called The Strip led to the arrest of a man on marijuana counts this evening.
The Weldon Police Department is investigating a larceny which occurred at New Dixie Mart located at 1617 Julian R. Allsbrook Highway in Weldon on December 31 around 10:45 pm.
The State Board of Community Colleges approved the selection of Michael Elam as the fifth president of Halifax Community College.
The Weldon Police Department is seeking information on the larceny of copper wire taken from a business on Mulberry Street November 14.
