Wade Carter III was indicted last week for a series of crimes he allegedly committed prior to a May 24 breaking and entering in which he was shot by the victim.
Evidence collected from Raleigh and Taylor streets was crucial in expanding an investigation into a breaking and entering in which the suspect was shot by the homeowner, Roanoke Rapids police Chief Chuck Hasty said today.
Wade Carter III was assigned a July 18 probable cause hearing date in Halifax County District Court today for a series of crimes which include three sexual assaults.
Roanoke Rapids police are investigating other crimes possibly linked to a man who was shot following a break-in on Raleigh Street last month, Chief Chuck Hasty confirmed today.
