Tillmon enters not guilty plea in Rockfish

Antonio Tillmon, the only defendant in the Operation Rockfish police corruption case to not take a plea, pled not guilty today to all charges filed against him.

A failed motion requesting sentencing of several Operation Rockfish defendants occur this month indicates Antonio Tillmon may be the only person to stand trial in the police corruption case.

Littleton man sentenced for mailing heroin

A Lake Gaston area man was sentenced in Wilmington federal court for shipping heroin through the mail.

Setbacks have delayed the sentencing for 14 Operation Rockfish defendants and a death in the family has delayed the arraignment of one who has yet to take a plea in the police corruption case, federal court records show.

Fourteen of the so-called Rockfish 15 are scheduled for sentencing on May 12, federal court records show.
