Whitaker, of Scotland Neck, waived his right to a detention hearing today in Greenville, while Terry, of Weldon, was found not suitable for release.
According to a docket entry in the federal file, Terry offered a third-party custodian but was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal's Service.
Whitaker faces two federal counts of selling heroin while Terry faces two federal counts of selling crack within 1,000 feet of Weldon High School, according to the indictment filed in the court system.
