Four Charged Following Enfield Traffic Stop

A traffic stop today in Enfield resulted in the arrests of four people on marijuana charges.

Lieutenant Chuck Hasty of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy Matt Brown was on routine patrol when he stopped the vehicle for an equipment violation.

A search was conducted and 11 bags of marijuana weighing a total of 8 grams was seized from inside the car with assistance from the Enfield Police Department.

Arrested were:

• Montrell Rayshun Williams, 19, of Enfield. He was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a vehicle for use of a controlled substance. Williams’s bond was $5,000 and he has a court date of August 3.

• Darian Harold Johnson, 20, Damar Raheed Pullen, 18, Naquan Dashaun Whitaker, 18, all of Enfield. They were charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were given $3,000 bonds and have August 3 court dates.
