Post game comments from head coach Jim Whitmire, " The Lady Yellow Jackets continue our run to a championship.   Friday night's game was the most complete game we have played all year.   The attitude and focus was finally very visible and was maintained throughout the game.   The game plan was to get off to a quick start by pressing and playing solid man defense.   That is exactly what transpired.   This team has come together and "peaking" at the absolute right time.   Had we played up to this level, and well within our potential, this team could be undefeated.    The scoring continues to be spread through the line up.   Once again, we had the opportunity to get the bench involved in the game in a big way, playing 15 different players.   The bench play continues to improve.   It takes actual playing time to gain, not only experience but, CONFIDENCE.   That is happening throughout the roster.   Kam Little, Reuana Robinson, and Emily Daniels continue to add valuable play from the bench.   The highlight from bench, late in the game, came from Brianna Parrot hitting 2 big 3 pointers and playing solid, smart guard play.    The team has come together and the enthusiasm for these players was great to see.   The starters have realized their roles and are setting the examples for the entire team."

We have another big challenge coming Tuesday in the form of Franklinton.   This team is solid and is well coached.   Going down the stretch, all teams have Roanoke Rapids in their sights to be the spoiler.    We have to stay laser focused and ready to play.   Please come out and support the Lady Jackets as we honor our seniors and take one more step to winning this conference title.

Post game comments from Roanoke Rapids head coach Tyler Snyder, "Proud of how the guys didn't give in after trailing the majority of the game. We got important rebounds, but still need to improve on grabbing them and not tipping the ball out. We made some mistakes early and they capitalized on them. They are a good team and well coached. We have a few things to talk about on Monday but again, I'm proud of all the guys."
