Lieutenant Charles Vaught said the 19-year-old Roanoke Rapids men — Jaquarious Williams and Joshua Jermaine Durant — are both considered to be armed and dangerous.

Williams is wanted for second-degree kidnapping in the case involving the matter Monday and is also wanted for assault inflicting serious bodily injury for a case reported February 1 in which he reportedly assaulted a female at Tenth and Hinson streets, Vaught said this afternoon.

Durant is wanted for second-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats in the matter concerning the juvenile.

Vaught declined to elaborate on the case involving the juvenile as it remains open. “It appears to be gang-related, something about disrespecting a gang,” he said.

Anyone with information on the location of these individuals is encouraged to contact law enforcement; the police department at 252-533-2810; Vaught at 252-533-2819 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
