Jamonte Rozelle Green was apprehended around noon today in Goldrock without trouble. Tripp said the Nash County Sheriff's Office assisted.
He was jailed without the opportunity for bond.
Green is the fourth person to be charged in the murder, which Tripp has said is tied to activity between Rocky Mount and Enfield gang members. There has been, however, no evidence to suggest Cambridge had gang ties.
Tripp said there are still more arrests pending in the case and investigators continue to look for Dexter Devin Taylor Jr.
The sheriff explained those arrested thus far, as well as Taylor, all reportedly had an active role in the murder.
Green was wanted by probation and parole for violating the terms and conditions of his release after being sentenced to probation for felony breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.
He also had warrants for his arrest for charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm and misdemeanor larceny based on an investigation by Deputy Paul Ward last month.
