A Roanoke Rapids man was charged Thursday with allegedly shooting at a 16-year victim in the 100 block of Jefferson Street.

Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin last month announced the arrest of Julius Broady, 52, of 3972 NC Highway 46, Gaston.

The fifth person since Tuesday has died in a traffic crash.
