Enfield PD, SBI continue murder probe

Enfield police Chief Tyree Davis says detectives with his department and the SBI continue to investigate a Monday night murder.

The suspect in a botched robbery inside the Enfield post office Saturday night died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound following a standoff with law enforcement.

Social services was notified and children turned over to family members after they were caught inside a residence with their grandmother during a break-in Sunday.

The victim in an Enfield stabbing case has been charged with assault on a female.

Enfield seeks man wanted in Jan. 18 robbery
