Three charged, one cited following 158 bust

A boyfriend and girlfriend, along with a friend, were arrested Wednesday evening on cocaine and marijuana counts, the City County Drug Task Force reports.

A search warrant filed by the City County Drug Task Force details information on the investigation of a man charged with trafficking heroin.

HCSO seeks info on stolen cigs

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating a suspect who stole a carton of cigarettes from a store in the Highway 903 area of Halifax.

A Roanoke Rapids man was arrested today for felony possession of cocaine and an outstanding order for arrest from Northampton County.

Smith, Shearin receive Crawley scholarships

Two Roanoke Rapids High School seniors, Semaj Smith and Meghan Shearin, have been awarded the Ethel W. Crawley Memorial Education Fund Scholarship.
