Investigation of a litter complaint in Enfield Tuesday led to the arrest of a man and his girlfriend on felony marijuana counts, town police Chief Tyree Davis said.

Davis said this evening he was following up on a complaint of debris in the yard of Wayne Bobbitt and Megan Mars since the town no longer picks up debris.
When he knocked on the door he could reportedly smell marijuana from inside the residence on Key Street. Davis said Bobbitt was honest and confirmed he was smoking.
Davis called for additional officers, he said in a statement.
Lieutenant Mac Wiggins and Officer Shatel Coates assisted in securing the scene as Davis went to apply for a search warrant, which was granted.
A search of the residence and vehicles led to the seizure of 52.7 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a .22 handgun.
