Adrianne Jean Mullis, 70 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away at home on April 26, 2023, surrounded by many family members.

She was born on August 20, 1952 to the late Adrian John Williams and Frances Rightmyer Dobbins. Adrianne graduated in 1970 from Roanoke Rapids High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. She retired from the Roanoke Rapids Sanitary District where she was loved by co-workers and came to know hundreds of the city’s residents she served. Adrianne had a passion for life and especially enjoyed the beach, Lake Gaston, sun-bathing, fishing in the Roanoke River and listening and dancing to beach music.

Adrianne was a devoted mother and is survived by her son, Andrew Lee Mullis of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her siblings, Ray Rightmyer Williams (Lisa) of Chesapeake, VA, Daniel Glenn Williams (Lisa) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Leigh Frances Allman (Kevin) of Littleton, NC; and the family's adopted mother for life, Mary Ann Jones “Jonesie.” She also requested her close friend and companion, the late Ronald W. Hux be remembered at this time. She is also survived by a niece, two nephews, and a one great niece and two great nephews. 

The family would like to thank Adrianne’s caregivers for their compassion and help these past months and to the many extended friends and family whose thoughts and prayers have provided much comfort.

A private ceremony with Adrianne’s family will be held at a later date.
