The following notices concerning the next Halifax County Board of Commissioners meeting and the board of equalization and review meeting on Monday at 9:30 a.m. have been submitted:

The Halifax County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting on Monday, April 6, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., in the Commissioners Meeting Room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse, 10 North King Street, Halifax, North Carolina. 

However, in compliance with Executive Order 121, issued by the Governor on March 27, 2020, related to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance in the meeting room will be limited to 10 people. For this reason, those scheduled to address the Board, including public comment, will be required to wait in  the hallway outside the meeting room to be called. 

Otherwise, public attendance  in the meeting room and the hallway will not be allowed. 

A live audio feed of the meeting will be available in the Commissioners Old Meeting Building — the building with the red roof — located adjacent to the Historic Courthouse, but also limited to 10 people. Additionally, the live audio feed will be available on the County website at www.halifaxnc.com.

This limitation on attendance for meetings of the Board will continue in effect for the duration of Executive Order 121 or its extension.

Board of equalization and review

The Halifax County Board of Equalization and Review — made up of the board of commissioners — will hold its first meeting on Monday, April 6, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., in the Commissioners Meeting Room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse, 10 North King Street, Halifax,  North Carolina.
