City to also consider Project Chips

The city will consider joining in an economic development project which county commissioners approved Monday.

With preparation scheduled to be completed at the end of the week, Kathleen Robinson Saturday will hold an open house so people can get a glimpse of her Camp Save a Child.

Revolutionary War Days set in Halifax

Revolutionary War Days is scheduled in Historic Halifax for June 18 and 19.

With a new site manager at Historic Halifax there will come a push for more programming.

The county's proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year drew criticism from the Roanoke Valley Southern Christian Leadership Conference and Coalition for Education and Economic Security during a public hearing on the matter Monday.
