Hobgood lost 9-1 to Pungo

The Hobgood Academy varsity baseball team fell 9-1 to Pungo at Hobgood on Monday.

Pungo couldn't get anything going as long as Eric Josey was on the mound. Pungo managed just two hits off of the the Hobgood Academy Raiders Varsity's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his three innings of work.

 

Kevon Carter was charged with the loss for Hobgood. He allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out one.

 

In the fifth inning, the Hobgood Academy Raiders Varsity pushed across their only run of the day on an error.

 

 

 

Hobgood were only allowed three hits. David Dobson and Seth Roberson each had a single while Wade Johnson had a double.
