The match was sluggish at the start of the whistle with Franklinton scoring the first goal of the evening, but Kyle Pratt started the scoring trend on an assist from Neal Hite for the Jackets and the home team went into halftime tied 1-1.
Coach Terry Frazier and Craig Jean must have motivated their team because a new attitude emerged to play the last 40 minutes of this match.
Rudy Draper found the back of the net at the 26:55 mark of the second half and the Jackets never trailed again.
Colyn Eure scored with 11 minutes still left to add more stats to this game in the record book.
Pratt scored and then a mere 9 seconds later, Draper placed his second and final goal for the Jackets past the Rams keeper.
Coach Frazier was pleased with the second half effort. “We played the best soccer of our season during the second half of this game.”
The Jackets remain home this week, facing North Johnston on Wednesday evening, in a rematch of a conference game that ended in a tie earlier last month after 100 minutes of soccer play.
Match time is slated to begin at 6pm. The JV Jackets will play at 4pm.
